About ArbLedger
A ledger is where every number gets written down: what went in, what came out, and what it cost. That is how we think arbitrage betting should be explained.
What we believe
Arbitrage betting is real. When two sportsbooks, an exchange or a prediction market disagree on a price, you can sometimes cover every outcome and lock in a small profit. But most of what is written about it oversells it. Margins are usually 2% to 5% a trade, not overnight riches. Sportsbooks limit accounts that win. Fees and rounding eat into every trade.
We would rather tell you that up front. Every full calculator on ArbLedger includes fees, and every guide works through numbers you can check yourself.
How we check our numbers
- Worked examples are calculated and then re-checked in our own calculators.
- Fees and platform details come from the platforms' own published schedules or public data, and we date them. Kalshi's fees, for example, were checked against its fee schedule and public API.
- When something changes often, we say so and tell you where to confirm it.
